Achieve Balance Counselling

Clinical Counsellor Abbotsford & Chilliwack

Are you looking for a clinical counsellor position in Abbotsford or Chilliwack where you can build a meaningful counselling practice without having to navigate the demands of private practice on your own?

At Achieve Balance Counselling, we are a growing group practice providing counselling for children, teens, adults, parents, and families throughout the Fraser Valley. We are always interested in connecting with compassionate, ethical, and skilled clinicians who are looking for a supportive professional environment where they can do meaningful work while maintaining autonomy in their clinical practice.

Our clinical counsellor positions in Abbotsford and Chilliwack are designed for therapists who value both independence and connection. You will have the freedom to develop your clinical style and work within your areas of interest, while also having the benefit of being part of an established team.

Why Join Achieve Balance Counselling?

Working in private practice does not have to mean working alone.

As a clinician with Achieve Balance Counselling, you become part of a team of professionals who understand the unique rewards and challenges of counselling work. We believe that clinicians do their best work when they have access to support, collaboration, and a positive professional environment.

Our group practice offers a number of benefits, including:

  • Professional autonomy – Develop your own clinical style and areas of specialization.
  • Flexibility – Build a schedule and caseload that fit your professional and personal needs.
  • Administrative support – Spend more of your time doing clinical work and less time managing the business side of private practice.
  • A collaborative environment – Connect with other counsellors and mental health professionals rather than practising in isolation.
  • Opportunities to grow – Develop specialized areas of practice and continue building your professional skills.
  • Established referral pathways – Benefit from an established counselling practice and ongoing opportunities to connect with clients.
  • A professional setting – Provide counselling from a welcoming, professional office environment in Abbotsford.

We recognize that every counsellor brings their own strengths, experience, personality, and clinical interests to their work. Our goal is not to create clinicians who all work in the same way. Instead, we want to build a team of therapists who share a commitment to ethical, compassionate, client-centred care.

We value ongoing learning and professional growth. Our team members have access to resources and opportunities that support continued development as counsellors. You can also explore our Recommendations for Counsellors and Therapists to get a sense of the learning and clinical perspectives we value.

Thinking about joining our team?
If you’re an experienced counsellor, you may be wondering what you would gain by joining an established group practice. Our Group Practice Model explains how we combine the autonomy of private practice with the support and connection of a collaborative team.

A Group Practice for Clinicians Who Love Their Work

Achieve Balance Counselling has a strong focus on child and family counselling, and much of our work involves children, youth, parents, and families. We also support teens and adults with a variety of concerns.

Our team includes clinicians with training and experience in approaches such as Synergetic Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, EMDR, Somatic Attachment, Gottman Method, and other evidence-informed therapeutic approaches.

We are particularly interested in connecting with clinicians who have a genuine passion for working with children, youth, parents, and families. Experience working with neurodivergent children and youth, trauma, attachment, anxiety, emotional regulation, or family relationships can be an asset.

At the same time, we recognize that a strong counselling team benefits from having clinicians with a variety of backgrounds and areas of expertise. If you have a particular clinical specialty that you are passionate about, we would be interested in learning more about your experience.

Join a team of thoughtful, experienced counsellors.
We believe that the people we work alongside matter. Take a moment to meet our team and get a feel for the clinicians and diverse perspectives you’ll find at Achieve Balance.
