Here at Achieve Balance Counselling we offer a variety of counselling services including play therapy, sand tray therapy, EMDR and parent support. Meet Our Team

Kim Kendall, MACP, RCC, BCRPT
I am the Founder and Director of Achieve Balance Counselling. I understand that it can be hard to decide to look for counselling for yourself and/or your child and I am so glad that you have found us.
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor, BC Registered Play Therapist, Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, Certified Neuroscience & Satir in the Sand Tray (NSST) Therapist, Certified Auplay Therapist, and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I love to learn and am currently working towards completing a two-year Somatic Attachment Training.
I am also a British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) Approved Clinical Supervisor Candidate.

Sydney Gruenhage, MAMFT, RCC
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and am available to see children, youth, families, parents & couples.
There is something so sacred about counselling and I am aware of the immense privilege it is to work with children, youth, families, parents, and couples, in their journey.

Jennifer Chepil, Junior Associate Counsellor
I am a Junior Associate Counsellor and have now completed my internship at Achieve Balance Counselling. I am in the process of obtaining the RCC designation through BCACC.
I have completed my Master of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and I am excited to continue working with children, youth, and adults at Achieve Balance Counselling.

Paula Collins, Counselling Intern
Hello and Welcome! My name is Paula, and I’m truly excited to be here as a Counselling Intern at Achieve Balance Counselling. I have a strong passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges, which has inspired me to pursue a career in Couples and Family Therapy, building on my background in Social Work.

Sophia Johnston, Counselling Intern
Hi, I’m Sophia, and I’m so glad you’re here. I hope to help you discover the healing that comes from being connected with others and yourself. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space for people to work through pain, trauma, loss, fear, and relational difficulties.
